Founded in the 1970s, the team plays its home games at the Loftus Versfeld stadium. Please note that we currently don't cover all seasons, so the data may not be complete. FBref is the most comprehensive source of women's soccer data on the Internet. It includes the entire history of the FIFA Women's World Cup, as well as the last seasons of nine countries' domestic leagues, including advanced statistics, such as expected goals, in most of those nine countries.
Keep in mind that players' records may not be complete for their careers. Players can come from leagues that we don't currently cover or move to them. This problem will disappear over time as we add new leagues and seasons. In the future we will never have less data than we have today.
The Mamelodi Sundowns have one foot in the CAF Champions League semifinals, but will return to focusing on national issues when they host Richards Bay in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday. This year's championship is the sixth consecutive for the Sundowns, who have won everything, and the 16th overall, both South African football records. Although the Mamelodi Sundowns tied their last three games of the DStv Premiership, the Brazilians are still 15 points ahead of SuperSport United, which is in second place. The Mamelodi Sundowns were crowned DStv Premiership champions for the sixth consecutive season, and they did so without having to kick a ball in the league over the weekend.
What remains to be seen is whether or not the Sundowns will lower their standards when those league games come in an already busy season for the club. The Mamelodi Sundowns have won another league title with plenty of time to spare, but they are still on track to set a few more records.
